This basic Super-Centrifuge is employed for a surprisingly large number of industrial applications.

Applications

The Open Type Super-Centrifuge is used, for example, in the clarification of:

Materials of Construction : Numerous options are available. If required all parts in contact with material can be of stainless steel or monel.

• Inbuilt centripetal pump is provided for foam and aerosol control.
• Variable speed Drive achieves operations between 7500 x G to 17000 x G or 20000 x G depending upon the model of Super Centrifuges.
• Sterlization-in-place (SIP) feature is provided with special vaporitite covers designed to accept saturated steam at 1.0 barG and 121⁰C, and incorporates a Safety Rupture Disc.
• Clean-in-Place (CIP) feature is provided.
• A dedicated Control Panel is provided with status indicating illuminators, "ON"-OFF Push Buttons, and Auto-Manual Sequence Control of CIP and SIP operations.

• Seperation of Biodiesel from Glycerol+Methanol mixture after transterification.
• Seperation of Biodiesel from Wash-Water in the subsequent bio diesel washing steps.

Clarification of Ink used by Newsprint Industry

Waste ink from newspapers can be reclaimed through a recovery system comprising strainers, fitters, magnetic separators, tanks and an AS26 tabular bowl Super Centrifuge at the heart of the process.

With correctly selected process and machine conditions, an acceptable clarification performance and centrate ink quality would be obtainable also on gravure and web offset inks that could be combined after centrifugation with fresh inks before reuse.

Clarification of Cherry Syrup

Clarification of Cherry Syrup can be effectively achieved with the Pennwalt high-G tubular bowl super centrifuge operating at 13200 x G.  The model AS-16 with sanitary finish can be operated t 15000 rpm to achieve a feed capacity of up to 180 lph and a model AS-26 with sanitary finish and operating at 1500 x G would achieve a feed capacity of up to 320 lph depending upon the settling characteristic of the insoluble solids.  The bowl would need to be cleaned batch wise once or twice every 8 hours /day operation.
